Graduate degree (PhD, PhD abd , MFA or MA) in Visual Arts, Art History or Italian Studies. A record of sustained successful teaching of art courses at the University level with specific focus on the Italian Renaissance. Native or near native fluency in English.
Teaching documentation: evidence of teaching competence at University level specifically dealing with courses in Renaissance Art and Architecture; official student and peer evaluations; teaching dossier; sample course syllabus; references. Ability to work alone without immediate direct supervision. Responsibility in all aspects of course work: course development; careful test and exam preparation; student assessment; prompt and accurate marking.
Expected integration of web-based and multimedia teaching/learning tools. Use of email, Brightspace, internet, common office software ( e.g. Word, Excel) and multi-media equipment.
Commitment to responsible time management ( e.g. course structuring, punctuality for lectures). Commitment to meeting the requirements and administrative responsibilities associated with the delivery of the course. Availability for individual consultation with students (office hours 1.5 hours per section per week required ) and proctoring exam .
