2-4 years of experience with large sponsorships or agency-side campaigns
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Experience with budget and expense management
Cable, telecom, or mobile industry experience preferred

A Day in the Life of the Events Marketing Specialist: The Event Specialist is responsible for the strategy and execution of major key sponsorships by planning and executing best-in-class events. This role leads the negotiation and execution of larger scale events with major for-profit and non-profit associations, managing all events with the intent of creating brand awareness and goodwill for Astound while effectively showcasing all Astound products and services.
Negotiate, plan, and execute sponsorship and branding events within the Astound footprint
Investigate, prepare documentation, and recommend new events and sponsorships
Coordinate with market leaders regarding sales, community, and small/medium business events
Respond to unsolicited event and sponsorship requests
Procure and manage vendors and brand ambassadors
Coordinate run-of-show for all planned events
Organize and deliver event materials including signage, banners, and booths
Assist with TV, radio, and digital promotional copy
Coordinate reciprocal media opportunities
Lead social outreach and promotional campaigns
Track budgets, process invoices, and prepare reports
Manage programmer relationships for new event opportunities
Participate in meetings and cross‑channel marketing initiatives
Travel up to 40% as required
Weekend availability required
