Reports To: Production Manager

Summary: Oversees production activities to ensure that company goals and standards are met in a safe and efficient manner.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Manages all work orders to ensure that scheduled order dates are met in the Production area.
2. Coordinates with the planner to confirm customer ship dates or provide alternative dates.
3. Works in conjunction with the Quality Control and Shipping/Receiving Departments to ensure efficiencies in the manufacturing process.
4. Supervises production activities and manages employee performance.
5. Ensure company programs such as ISO, HACCP and Safety are followed within the Production Department.
6. Ensures that housekeeping requirements are maintained in accordance with GMP.
7. Oversees training progress of department personnel.
8. Suggests changes in working conditions and in use of equipment to increase efficiency of department or work crew.
9. Analyzes and resolves production problems or assists personnel in solving production issues.
