About the role

Scope : Lead the technical roadmap for the DataOps.Roche platform. Drive the critical refactoring of our core solution from native GitLab CI structures into an orchestrator-agnostic Python framework. Establish a centralized data modeling service for the broader ecosystem. Business / Technical ability: Architect and build a robust platform observability and monitoring solution to track runner utilization, infrastructure metrics, and deployment reliability. The Lead IT Expert (Tech Lead) for DataOps will drive the technical direction of our custom platform engineering solutions. You will not be building standard data pipelines; instead, you will architect, maintain, and evolve DataOps.Roche-the critical CI/CD ecosystem, infrastructure, and deployment tooling that enables hundreds of data engineers to process data safely across our global organization. This role requires deep expertise in Python, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and modern CI/CD ecosystems to lead massive architectural shifts, including migrating to an orchestrator-agnostic framework and transitioning from GitLab to GitHub.
