Cross-trained to perform the Pick and Pack responsibilities as needed. On a regular basis, performs one of the following:
Reviews system generated messages and request from the sales department to determine what product can ship to the customer each day.
Locate product to ship to customer.
Determines the best packaging methods using approved supplies (including spray foam) to ship the product safely without damage.
Create labels
Stage packed product for shipment.
Ensure internal manufacturing orders are received into system before shipping.
Receives materials and moves materials to the location that they will be used or stored.
Provides weights and dimensions to Customer Service upon request.
Process shipments in 4S
Responds to questions, both email and verbal, about the shipping status of orders and receipt of material used to fill a pending order.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Relative Work Experience: Prefer 1-3 years' related work experience (pick and pack) including cherry picker experience.
Education: High school diploma or GED required.
Certifications / Licenses: None required.
Computer Systems / Software: Strong computer skills required with knowledge of Outlook, Word and excel; Fourthshift, MRP, ERP preferred
Specialized Training: Must take cherry picker (one man lift) training. Packaging methods required
