Prior assignments of significance in Sales, Sales Management and/or Product/Business Management, Commercial Technology and Marketing
A minimum of 10 years' experience with significant time spent in, or in-depth exposure to, the Industrial Gases business or closely related field.
Undergraduate degree required, MBA desirable
Strong leadership, influencing and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to lead a large team of direct reports

Air Products is seeking an Eastern Canada Area Sales Manager to support our goal to be the safest, most diverse, and most profitable industrial gas company in the world, providing excellent service to our customers. The Sales Manager will report to the Commercial Director and be responsible for driving superior sales performance for a significant area within the existing North Subregion, by coaching and developing his/her direct reports. The position will be field based in Mississauga, Ontario and will support the Ontario and Quebec sales team.
The Sales Manager's role will be to strengthen the regional structure and sales model, build distinctive capabilities among his/her team and increase focus and accountability in the region. Primary performance objectives for the Sales Manager will be to deliver revenue growth (signings) through new and existing customers, ensure high retention/renewal rates and to drive pricing improvement and profitability. This position will partner closely with key stakeholders including General Manager, Business Managers, Commercial Director, Area Managers, Strategic Account Managers (SAMs), Commercial Technology (Central and Field), Central Sales, Asset Management, Onsite Business Development, Engineering, Logistics and Operations. The chosen candidate will possess a sound strategic mindset, field leadership capabilities, the ability to lead and inspire cross functional teams, exceptional influencing skills and a proven track record of driving growth and managing execution through his/her team.
