POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Registrar Systems and Degree Requirements Coordinator reports to the University Registrar and has coordinative responsibility for the overall academic records enterprise of the University while collaborating with other members of the Office of the Registrar. The Registrar Systems and Degree Requirements Coordinator supports the operations of the Registrar's Office through management of academic requirements, student registration processes, and functional support of Workday Student. This position is responsible for building and maintaining degree requirements within Workday Student, assisting students, faculty, and staff with system-related processes, and performing a variety of administrative and operational duties to support accurate academic records and student success. Minimum Requirements This classification requires a basic foundation of knowledge and skills of technology and information systems generally obtained through an AA degree in computer science, information systems, educational technology, communications, or related fields, or similar certified coursework in applicable fields of study and at least one year of related work experience. Preferred Requirements Two years of experience as a program specialist or support specialist, which included administrative support for a project, program, or operation. Administrative support includes those duties beyond clerical/secretarial, such as: interpretation of laws, rules, and regulations; administrative data collection and analysis; and evaluation of projects, processes, and operations; OR an equivalent combination of training and experience. One year of postsecondary education may be substituted for up to one year of the experience. Bachelor's degree in a disciplinary area related to this position. Experience with Workday Student or another student information system. Ability to learn new systems, analyze, and troubleshoot existing systems. Experience working in an applicable higher education setting. Experience with lead work responsibility or coordination of office procedures. Knowledge and experience using computer programs, including proficiency with databases and the Microsoft Office suite.
