Lead Product Designer (UX) at ABC Fitness Are you looking to join a growing team of Product Designers who are shaping the future of fitness technology through deep user insight, strong product thinking, and scalable design? We are looking for a Senior, user-obsessed problem solver to join our Product Design team. Someone who thrives in complexity, brings clarity to ambiguity, and partners closely with Product and Engineering to deliver meaningful outcomes. Our workplace is entirely remote. You would join a team of eight designers supporting the research, design, and development of our product offerings. ABC's tools are used globally by thousands of fitness operators - from multi-location franchises to independent personal trainers - to manage and grow their businesses. As a Senior Designer, you will be embedded within a development squad and own the end-to-end design of significant product initiatives. This includes leading discovery and research, shaping product strategy, facilitating workshops, designing and validating solutions, and partnering closely with Engineering through implementation and iteration. You will also play a key role within the broader Design team, contributing to long-term initiatives such as evolving and scaling our design system (including the use of AI) as our product suite continues to grow. Your role Based within the Product Design function, this role works closely with R&D to deliver high-quality UX design solutions across ABC's product suite. You will: Partner closely with Product Management and Engineering to translate complex user needs and business requirements into clear, scalable, and usable experiences. Lead design efforts on complex problem spaces affecting gym operators and their members, applying strong judgment and attention to detail. Apply deep expertise in UX patterns, interaction principles, accessibility, and design systems , adapting them thoughtfully to different product contexts. Plan, conduct, and synthesise user research and usability testing , using qualitative and quantitative insights to inform product direction and design decisions. Drive an iterative, evidence-led design approach across discovery, definition, delivery, and post-launch optimisation. Take shared ownership of the Design System , contributing to its evolution, governance, and consistent application across web and mobile platforms. Act as a design partner and mentor within squads and the wider Design team, raising the bar for craft, collaboration, and design thinking. You'll need Minimum 8+ years of experience designing complex SaaS products , ideally within B2B, platform, or multi-surface environments. Experience in a related vertical is a plus. Proven experience designing flows, systems, and scalable interaction patterns , not just individual screens or webpages. Strong experience working with design systems and component-based design ; familiarity with React frameworks is a plus. Demonstrated experience across the entire product development lifecycle , with a strong bias toward discovery and user-centred decision making. Solid grounding in user psychology, research methodologies, and behavioural or usage data . A portfolio that shows a track record of delivering high-quality, impactful product experiences , including problem framing, iteration, and outcomes. High proficiency with Figma , and experience using tools such as Miro, Maze, and AI-assisted design tools (e.g. Make or similar). Strong prototyping skills, using Figma or comparable tools to test, validate, and refine solutions. Ability to manage and prioritise multiple streams of work across teams and problem spaces. Excellent communication, facilitation, and storytelling skills - able to clearly articulate design rationale and influence at team and company level.
