Own and oversee end‑to‑end tax operations processes, ensuring they are clearly defined, well‑controlled, and consistently executed across teams and vendors.
Evaluate process performance, handoffs, and controls to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and risk points.
Provide structured oversight and challenge to IC5 execution and quality review activities, focusing on process effectiveness rather than individual transactions.
Lead root‑cause analysis for recurring issues, defects, or breakdowns; drive sustainable process‑level remediation.
Ensure procedures, controls, and operating models are aligned with regulatory requirements and business needs.
Oversee process readiness for peak periods, regulatory changes, system enhancements, and volume shifts.
Partner with Technology, Compliance, Risk, and Operations leaders to design and implement process improvements, automation, and standardization.
Define and monitor process‑level metrics, quality indicators, and health dashboards; use insights to drive improvements.
Ensure vendor‑supported processes meet internal standards and integrate effectively with internal workflows.
Translate complex process and risk insights into clear guidance and recommendations for leadership.
Support regulatory exams and audits by ensuring processes are well‑documented, understood, and operating as designed.
Requirements
Strong understanding of tax operations execution, quality review, and control concepts.
Demonstrated ability to think end‑to‑end and assess processes for effectiveness, scalability, and risk.
Ability to communicate complex process and risk topics clearly to leadership and non-technical stakeholders.
Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills (e.g., trend analysis, KPIs, dashboard management) to identify and prioritize process improvements.
Proven experience leading issue remediation through process improvement rather than transactional fixes.
Ability to influence cross‑functional partners and drive change without direct authority.
Strong judgment, prioritization, and problem‑solving skills.
Strong technical skills and expertise (i.e., proficiency in Microsoft Excel, tax and brokerage acumen, and ability to navigate and leverage various tax systems and workflows)
Strong operational execution skills with a high degree of accuracy and discipline to meet regulatory deadlines, adhere to controls, manage risk, and consistently deliver compliant tax reporting
Stakeholder management skills (professional communication, influence, and collaboration) to effectively partner with Tax Oversight, Legal, Compliance, Enterprise Risk Management, IT, and vendors
Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Minimum of three years related experience.
