To strengthen our European EHS organization, we are seeking an experienced EHS Manager Sweden (f/m/d) to support our manufacturing, distribution, and on-site laboratory service operations across the country. In this role, you will play a key role in shaping a strong safety and sustainability culture across our Swedish operations. You will act as a trusted partner to site leaders, employees, and external stakeholders, helping ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations. This is a hybrid role, with frequent on-site visits in and around Gothenburg/Mölndal. You will have the option to work 1-2 days per week from home. How you will thrive and create an impact Reporting to the European VWR Services EHS Manager, the post holder will provide tactical and strategic support for the Avantor operations in Sweden. Lead and continuously improve EHS standards and practices across manufacturing, distribution, and on-site laboratory services in Sweden Ensure compliance with Swedish Work Environment Act (AML) and Environmental Code (Miljöbalken) Maintain and update the legal register in line with AFS 2023:1 and AFS 2023:2 (new 2025 structure) Drive a people-centered safety culture that encourages participation, ownership, and proactive risk identification Identify, assess, and mitigate EHS risks, including Serious Incident and Fatality (SIF) hazards Support and lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions Act as the main EHS contact for regulatory authorities, customers, and internal/external audits Contribute to the delivery of European and global EHS strategies, aligning local initiatives with wider business goals Support ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification and continuous improvement activities Collaborate closely with operational, facilities, security, and commercial teams to manage risks, change initiatives, and projects Promote environmentally responsible, sustainable, and socially responsible behaviour across the organisation
