About the role
ZEISS Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology - Enabling smaller, more powerful and more energy-efficient microchips Working where tomorrow is created. Around 80 percent of all microchips worldwide are manufactured using ZEISS technologies. As the heart of every electronically controlled system, they have become an integral part of our everyday lives - whether in smartphones, smart homes or smart factories. ZEISS is the technology leader in semiconductor manufacturing equipment. With high-precision lithography optics, photomask systems and solutions for process control, ZEISS enables the manufacture of ever smaller, more powerful and more energy-efficient microchips - and is thus playing a decisive role in shaping the age of micro- and nanoelectronics with its innovations. Your Role Act as the technical interface to the Development Teams, aligning on product and process adaptations for realization and industrialization. Own the process customization and readiness work to achieve stable, scalable serial production (serialization/industrialization). Develop, validate and continuously optimize mechatronics/mechanics processes to ensure robust manufacturability, repeatability, and yield stability. Integrate and coordinate optics, laser and metrology aspects into the overall process and system setup, Including alignment of interfaces and requirements. Define, verify, and document process windows and application-specific process settings for series production release and sustained performance. Your Profile A degree (master's/diploma) in "Mechanical Engineering" , "Mechatronics" , "Physics" , "Optical Engineering" or a comparable technical field Experience in process development, industrialization or production engineering, ideally in a high-tech or precision manufacturing environment Solid understanding of mechatronic and mechanical systems as well as solid knowledge in optics, laser technology and metrology Proven experience in translating product designs and concepts into robust, repeatable and yield-stable manufacturing processes Experience in developing, optimizing and safeguarding process windows, including application-specific adaptations A structured, analytical way of working and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional and international teams Professional proficiency in English and German (spoken and written) and w illingness to travel occasionally (e.g. to other ZEISS sites, suppliers or partners).
