About the role
Join our team on Hirst Dairy and play a key role in rearing our next generation dairy cattle. You'll be responsible for caring for young calves, feeding, weighing, drafting, drenching, and monitoring their health and welfare. You may also assist with milking and general farm duties when required. This is a drive in/drive out role, so reliable transport is required. This is a fixed term position from July to October 2026. We can guarantee a set number of hours each week. At times there may be more available. THE FARM Hirst Dairy Farm is a 700-cow operation, part of a 21-farm complex, with 281 effective hectares and a 54-bail rotary dairy. We're supported by a capable team of three and benefit from well-maintained infrastructure, including a Protrack drafting system in the cow shed. Convenient location - just a twenty minute drive from Taupō. ABOUT YOU With a mix of roles available, we need some experience, and this is an opportunity for someone with no prior experience required, training is provided.
