Posted Job Title Research Specialist A Job Profile Title Research Specialist A Job Description Summary A Research Specialist A is needed to design, conduct and analyze experiments investigating the physiology of nuclear hormone receptors in mouse models. The research specialist will be working closely with the Principal Investigator and other lab members on publication-generating projects. The position requires the daily handling of mice, including genotyping, careful tracking and record keeping of mouse colonies, measuring body weight, and obtaining blood samples. It will also require performing experimental procedures such as Western blotting, cell culture, DNA/RNA extraction, molecular cloning, PCR, Q-PCR and ChIP. Prior experience with these techniques is desired. The research specialist will also assist with routine lab duties and other duties as assigned. Perform mouse body weight measurements and collecting blood samples.
