Responsibilities
Design, develop and document application test strategies, test plans and test cases based on software requirements and technical specifications for SOTI's platform.
Create, implement and maintain test coverage for SOTI's platform.
Design, script, configure, and run performance tests to validate production readiness of software applications and infrastructure for stability and performance
Support active contribution in creating performance testing artefacts including Performance test strategy and test plans/estimates, optimization & KPI reports
Condition test data as needed to simulate test scenarios properly
Work with load testing tools like JMeter
Work with Performance Engineering tools like AppDynamics and Fiddler to capture and analyze information to identify performance issues
Work with Development and Architecture teams on the identification and troubleshooting of performance-related issues
Work effectively in an Agile environment, following and practicing Scrum processes
Provide mentorship on performance engineering and automation frameworks
Maintain high-quality standards on all deliverables
Continually upgrade technical and product know-how
Adept at working with minimal guidance
Experience You'll Bring
5-10 years of experience with application quality assurance in a complex web-based and mobile software development environment.
Experience in functional, integration, system, security, performance, regression and user acceptance testing using manual or automated testing techniques, preferably using exploratory testing methodology.
Able to understand the nature and workflow of complex business and technical processes.
Strong analytical skills with ability to formulate solutions for complex problems.
Strong bug reporting skills and ability to work well with developers.
Good experience with API testing & J Meter
Experience with any of the programming language and test automation framework (C#, Playwright are preferred)
Experience with databases and SQL/NoSQL.
Knowledge of CI/CD workflows.
Knowledge of professional software testing practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to details
Good to know about the cloud architecture and deployment in AWS and/or Azure.
University degree or college diploma in computer science or related discipline.
