Job Overview The Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a clinic pharmacy. The PIC is listed on the Board of Pharmacy's website and associated with the pharmacy license for the location to which they are assigned. The Pharmacist-in-Charge is responsible for supervising pharmacy technicians and coordinating with the Pharmacist. The PIC serves as a Pharmacist and performs professional and clinical duties in the dispensing of medications to patients and clinics. Minimum Requirements Graduate of an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and a California pharmacist license required or be certified by the Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Committee (FPGEC), issued by the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy. Must possess a valid and active license in the State of California High Volume Retail Pharmacy experience preferred. Minimum of one (1) year of experience directing pharmacy workflows, two (2) years of related experience strongly preferred. Minimum one (1) year of experience directing pharmacy regulatory/compliance activities to include, including Experience working with Regulatory agencies, to include but not limited to DEA, SBOP, CMS, FDA. Experience with Compliance audits and remediation, Experience resolving compliance/regulatory discrepancies. Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred. A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.
