Ensure accounting analysis/reporting for Whole Loan Trading is accurate, efficient, and timely
Maintain GSE and Agency seller and servicer approvals and annual renewal requirements, including being the Hud Administrator for Texas Capital Bank
Review business controls on issues and assist in and suggest action plans related to identified issues resulting from internal or external audits.
Performance of day to day department operations to ensure residential mortgage acquired are booked and managed in strict compliance with contract terms, industry standards, federal and state regulations, and applicable Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and Ginnie Mae requirements.
Identify, develop, and implement improvements to workflow and processes to ensure compliance with GSE requirements, vendor oversight and sound accounting practices
Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop and enhance ongoing line of business projects
Supporting daily transactions, related duties as requested
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or business or a related field preferred or equivalent experience.
5+ years Investor Reporting/Accounting or Mortgage Loan Servicing Operations experience
Knowledge of investor accounting principles and concepts
Sound knowledge in all federal regulations attributable to mortgage banking and servicing
Customer service mindset with the approach to day-to-day operations internally and externally
Possess strong analytical and research skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Suite with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Understanding of the mortgage loan lifecycle
Solid knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to mortgage servicing or operations, including a deep understanding of industry servicing requirements established in FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, USDA and GNMA guides.
Ability to read and accurately interpret loan documents, promissory notes, security instruments, modification agreements, and other documentation related to mortgages
Proven leadership aptitude with an ability to lead by example, develop and motivate subordinates, and influence peers within the organization
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise. Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds
