A Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Public Health, Sociology, or a related field and 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. A Master's Degree is optional.
Preferred qualifications include: Proficiency in Stata and/or R, experience obtaining, cleaning, and analyzing large datasets independently; conducting literature reviews; interpreting output; and creating publication quality visuals.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced research environment. Demonstrated interest in issues related to economic opportunity, health disparities, and social determinants of health.

Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Research Coordinator to join our Opportunity for Health research lab as a pre-doctoral fellow. This position offers a unique opportunity for individuals who are passionate about conducting research while also collaborating with experienced faculty members on ongoing projects. The successful candidate will join our team through a mentorship pipeline program as a pre-doctoral fellow and will have the chance to contribute to cutting-edge science in the intersection of economic opportunity and health. The research coordinator will work closely with the Opportunity for Health Lab Director, Atheendar Venkataramani, working alongside senior research staff and receiving supervision and direction on project work and analysis.
Job responsibilities include collaborating with faculty members and other researchers within the lab to contribute to ongoing research projects, including data collection, analysis, and manuscript preparation. The research coordinator will support research on projects across a range of topics and will use quantitative and/or qualitative research methods to explore complex issues at the intersection of economics and health. Position is Contingent Upon Funding.
A successful research coordinator will possess a strong desire to expand and deepen skills in economic research and quantitative data analysis, and emerge prepared to apply for PhD programs in Economics, Public Health or a related field. This coordinator will be encouraged to be an active part of the MEHP research community, which can include attending or presenting at seminars or conferences and exploring personal research interests. Dr. Venkataramani and other lab faculty will provide supervision and mentorship on academic development.
