Senior Software Engineer
Dealpath is the AI-powered operating system for institutional real estate investing - purpose-built to help the world's leading firms capture more opportunities, make faster decisions, and execute with precision. As a Senior Software Engineer here, you'll ship features that go directly into the workflows of firms managing trillions in real assets, using AI coding tools as a core part of how you build every day. We're looking for engineers who take ownership end-to-end, think about the problems they're solving for customers, and want to help shape the way the built world transacts.
You're excited about this opportunity because you'll
Ship customer-facing features - build and deploy product features that go directly into the workflows of the world's leading real estate investors
Build with AI every day - use Claude Code, Cursor, and others as a core part of your workflow, not an occasional supplement
Own your work end-to-end - work closely with product and design to shape what gets built, then see it through to production
Raise the bar on code quality - review commits and AI-generated code for correctness, security, and maintainability
Help the team grow - give real feedback to earlier-career engineers, share your approach, and make the people around you better
We're excited that you are
AI fluency - you direct tools like Claude Code or Cursor effectively: describe the problem clearly, generate code and tests, evaluate output critically, and iterate until it's right
Strong code review habits - you evaluate AI-generated code by the same standard as hand-written code, catching bugs, edge cases, security gaps, and performance issues before they ship
Product sense - you think about the user and the business, not just the implementation, and understand how your work connects to customer outcomes
Independence - you take ownership end-to-end, navigate ambiguity, and deliver without being managed step-by-step
Clear communication - written and verbal, you can articulate technical tradeoffs to engineers and non-technical partners alike
Mentorship orientation - you give feedback that builds judgment in others, not just fixes the immediate issue
CS fundamentals - solid grasp of data structures, system design, and the ability to reason about performance, reliability, and data integrity tradeoffs
