Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) through National Council of Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC) .
Eligible for and maintain s a Recreation Therapy license through NH Office of Allied Health .
2 years of experience in R ecreation Therapy .
Valid and clean driver ' s license with ability to meet DOT certification to drive passenger vans
Compl ete and maintain any additionally required c e rtifications .
Creative problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Under administrative direction of Program Director, or other designated supervisor, recreational therapist on the clinical team utilizes a strengths-based and collaborative approach to provide support to our clients as they achieve their v i sion for an optimal quality of life across all domains.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
Provide services in communities and school settings . Treatment sessions may range from individual 1:1 service to group-based interventions and may include transporting (in Northeast Passage vehicles) clients, family members, or other providers that are part of the client's healthcare or educational team.
Follow the APIE (Assess, Plan, Implement, Evaluate) process:
Assess individual/group needs & create individualized treatment plan s.
Research, design, & implement safe, accessible recreation , sport and leisure interventions that support individual identity and functional skill development .
Evaluate and document outcomes of interventions and document progress on goals .
Act a s the primary liaison with clients , families , and related service providers in both community health systems and schools-based settings .
Manage aspects of contracts which may include billing, scheduling, sending documentation , or resource and referral information as required .
Advocate for access to , and build relationships within , community-based settings .
Advanc e the understanding and role of therapeutic recreation services.
Support the greater Northeast Passage mission and engagement within the University of New Hampshire through support of programs as needed across the organization.
Collaborate across teams as needed
Maintain records and reports as required .
Participate in organizationa l professional development and training opportunities .
Operate as a respectful and willing team player .
Perform other duties as assigned.
