Job Summary:
This role ensures accurate and timely salary disbursements, compliance with statutory regulations, and alignment with internal policies. The position works closely with HR, Finance, and external payroll vendors to maintain data integrity, resolve payroll issues, and support both monthly payroll operations and year-end activities. Input and update monthly payroll data accurately and share the information with the payroll service provider in accordance with the payroll calendar, agreed cut-off timelines, and SLAs.
- Manage end-to-end monthly payroll processing in alignment with the payroll calendar and SLAs.
- Collect, verify, and update monthly payroll inputs (attendance, variable pay, new hires, exits, job changes, deductions, reimbursements, etc.).
- Coordinate with the third-party payroll service provider to ensure accurate processing of payroll data.
- Review payroll registers and variance reports for accuracy before final approval.
- Ensure adherence to statutory laws, including PF, ESI, PT, LWF, Income Tax (TDS), Gratuity, and Bonus Act.
- Stay updated on changes in labor laws and tax rules and incorporate updates into payroll processes.
- Process payroll changes related to new hires, transfers, promotions, resignations, and terminations.
- Ensure accurate calculation of full and final settlements, including notice pay, leave encashment, and statutory dues.
- Work with Workforce Ops group to confirm last working days, recoveries, and policy-based deductions.
- Prepare and share monthly payroll reports and dashboards for HR and Finance.
- Reconcile payroll data, including earnings, deductions, taxes, and statutory contributions.
- Address employee payroll queries promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate payroll records, documentation, and audit trails.
- Support year-end activities including Form 16, tax proofs, and annual returns.
- All other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree is required
- Excellent customer service skills required
- Minimum of 2-4 years payroll experience is required.
- Minimum of 1 year working on collaborative team environment is required.
- Experience working with payroll systems and third-party vendors.
- Analytical skills and strong attention to detail
- Strong Communication Skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Giving team members work directions and assist with problem solving.
