Job Description Summary
Manages support staff within the Department of Information Technology at Penn Dental Medicine, providing IT services/support over Academic, Clinical and Research operations both, onsite at the School and at remote clinical locations. Provides direction for team; maintains accountability for team's results. Facilitate team meetings and dissemination of information. Oversees projects, day-to-day operations and activities; Draft policy and procedure recommendations to create or improve services. sets policies and procedures, technical standards and methods, and priorities. Participates in or leads planning efforts. Assist with vendor management efforts, sourcing new vendors, and working with procurement team. Reports to leadership on information systems plans, projects, performance and related matters. Manages procurement activities for end user computing devices. Participates in budgeting activities. Provide research and recommendations on expanding or improving quality of service. Keeps up to date on current trends and innovations.
