Develops, organizes, implements, evaluates and revises preparation for childbirth, newborn care, sibling preparation, postpartum, and breastfeeding classes for expectant and new parents.
Assists in the management of the breast pump rental station.
Manages work flow in the perinatal education department.

TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES
Operations Management (Novice): Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate operations management in practical applications of moderate difficulty.

Job Summary:
Applies in-depth knowledge of a wide range of maternal and neonatal acute and chronic conditions that may affect breastfeeding. Assesses and manages complex lactation problems and assists the mother in attaining her individual breastfeeding goals. Functions as a member of the multi-disciplinary health care team as a consultant, educator, and mentor to nurses, health care professionals and patients. .
