PRIMARY FUNCTION: Operate multiple feed production systems. RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS: Operate multiple automated feed production systems inclusive of batching, pelleting, grinding, and receiving. Must have the ability to keep all records in an orderly and presentable manner. Record and reconcile drug and micro-ingredient inventories as required. Must have the ability to be certified for forklift operation. Perform housekeeping duties as assigned by supervision. Must be able to perform duties effectively with minimal supervision. Must have the ability to cooperate with other mill and maintenance employees, as well as truck drivers. Collect feed samples as directed by supervision. Communicate to supervision any issues that interfere with plant production operations. Other duties as assigned by supervision. EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: Knowledge of feed mill manufacturing equipment operation and maintenance Demonstrated leadership skills Intermediate math (add, subtract, multiply and/or divide proportions, percentages, area, volume, etc.) Basic computer knowledge and usage skills Detail oriented Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character SAFETY REQUIREMENTS: Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in areas where required PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours Frequently stoop, kneel, crawl and bend Ability to lift and carry 50 - 60 lbs Constantly subject to dusty, hot environments Frequently work in loud environment requiring ear protection Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts Ability to work at heights of 200+ ft Ability to operate a pallet jack with 2,000+ lbs. of material We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
