Provide support to the broader corporate communications team on brand initiatives, projects and company-wide announcements.
Develop external communications activities and deliverables, including speaking engagements, media plans and outreach, and expertise POVs.
Identify and mine for compelling and novel stories around the organization and across the industry and translate that into external content, stories and media opportunities.
Work with the team SMEs to implement integrated communications programs that embrace all areas of communications, including branding, reputation, media relations, social media and crisis/emergent issues.
Collaborate and partner with teams across Riot to support their external communications efforts and storytelling (enterprise, games, publishing, esports, entertainment).
Develop high-quality written materials, including press releases, media research, background materials, planning and briefing docs, amplification plans that are channel agnostic, and executive communications.
Identify and evaluate conference and award opportunities, building relationships with key organizers and points of contact.
Monitor and report around campaigns,launches, crises, and understand conversation drivers and trends utilizing tools like MuckRack and Meltwater/Talkwalker.
Maintain and update comms-related materials (website, bios, messaging guides, conference and award trackers, reporter databases etc.).
Support daily media monitoring and clipping, tracking coverage across gaming, tech, and business press.
Required Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in public relations or external communications either in-house or at an agency
Experience developing high-quality written materials, including communications plans and press materials (press releases, media kits, messaging)
Experience building communications programs and ability to work with diverse partners and senior leadership.
Experience with monitoring and reporting; experience using Talkwalker is a plus.
Requirements
Experience working with executives or supporting executive communications programs.
Experience incorporating social and digital media into integrated communications strategies.
Established relationships with reporters and/or conference organizers.
Prior corporate work experience, ideally in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
Bachelor's Degree in strategic communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, or a related field.

As Riot Games' Communications Strategist (Corporate Communications), reporting to the Manager, Communications, you'll help develop and execute integrated communications strategies that position Riot as the best place to make games and elevate the voices of leaders across the company. Working across Corporate and Brand Communications, you'll connect our people, culture, and business into cohesive narratives that resonate with players, media, and the industry.
In this role, you'll contribute to company-wide announcements, brand initiatives, and be asked to partner closely with comms counterparts across Riot. You'll play a key role in shaping external narratives through media relations, speaking opportunities, and written content, while supporting day-to-day operations including media monitoring, reporting, and maintaining core communications materials.
