Senior Mobile Engineer - Android & iOS

About the role

As a Senior Mobile Engineer at Zühlke, you will work in interdisciplinary teams developing high-quality, long-lasting mobile apps for iOS and Android. Drawing on your extensive experience with Swift and Kotlin and your use of modern engineering methods, you will create robust, maintainable, and user-centric solutions. How you'll make impact Develop innovative mobile applications across diverse industries that elevate your clients' businesses and offer a great end user experience Work within a cross‑functional team of experienced engineers, develop sophisticated mobile apps and integrate them into clients' system landscapes Build a deep understanding of client domains and project requirements Rely on your foundation in native mobile development: Use your expertise in iOS and Android platforms , their ecosystems, guidelines, and technical nuances and develop with Swift and Kotlin , focusing on clean architecture, testable software, performance, security, and long-term maintainability Determine when native, cross‑platform, or hybrid approaches provide the greatest value Create prototypes quickly without compromising user experience: in close collaboration with customers, product owners, designers, and fellow engineers, you help shape optimal solutions and implement them with a focus on quality, value, and sustainability Contribute to the success of a wide range of projects by coaching your team members in mobile development and agile practices What's important to us A technical degree (bachelor's/ master's), ideally in computer science At least 3 years of professional experience as a software developer in mobile projects Strong experience with Swift and the iOS ecosystem, as well as Kotlin and the Android ecosystem A solid understanding of modern mobile architectures and clean software development Experience with testing, code reviews, CI/CD, and quality‑driven engineering practices Familiarity with agile collaboration in interdisciplinary teams Knowledge of the benefits of cross‑platform technologies and ideally experience with Flutter and Kotlin Multiplatform Enabling customer success through the efficient use of modern technologies, tools, and methods Experience in consulting environments, technical leadership, or coaching in client projects is a plus Strong critical ‑ thinking abilities and excellent problem ‑ solving skills Strong communication skills, business ‑ fluent German is a must , proficient command of English
