JOB DUTIES: General Park Worker: -Maintain park grounds by mowing lawns, trimming hedges, and pruning trees for a tidy appearance. -Safely use lawn maintenance tools like mowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers. -Inspect grounds regularly, reporting any hazards or issues to supervisors promptly. -Care for plants by fertilizing, watering, pruning, and transplanting. -Perform general repairs on park structures like fences and benches for safety and functionality. -Follow maintenance schedules to keep facilities and equipment in good condition. -Use sweepers, buffers, and scrubbers for maintenance work. -Assist in moving furniture, garbage disposal, and supply deliveries. Kiosk/Booth, Office Support, Concessions/Guest Services: -Assist in cash and credit card transactions at either entry kiosks, offices, concessions, or activity centers. -Respond to visitor inquiries about park activities and procedures activity center, climbing wall, and more. -Provide guest services, offering assistance and information to visitors and patrons. -For Office Support: Use computerized reservation systems for camping and cabin bookings, which may include check-ins, check-outs, walk-in site sales, and camp envelope entry. -Maintain office supplies, records, and equipment inventory. -Create a welcoming and hospitable environment for guests across park facilities. Housekeeping: -Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks, including bed-making and restroom cleaning. -Replace amenities like towels, soap, and toilet tissue for guest convenience. -Address any specific guest requests or requirements promptly and efficiently. Report any maintenance issues or damages for prompt resolution. -Follow established procedures and guidelines to maintain consistency in service quality. -Follow established protocols for the safe handling and usage of hazardous chemicals, ensuring proper dilution and application methods to maintain a safe environment for guests and staff. -Adhere to safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling hazardous materials. -Assist in maintaining inventory levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities. -Operate a designated housekeeping van within the park premises for supply deliveries and maintenance tasks. -Support team efforts during peak periods or special events to meet guest demands. Prep Cook (Fort Robinson State Park and Platte River State Park only): -Support the kitchen team in prepping ingredients and cooking. -Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area. -Operate meat slicers and other cooking equipment and machinery. Restaurant Host (Fort Robinson State Park): -Welcome guests and manage the seating chart for dining/lodging needs. -Assist in dishwashing, preparing beverages like coffee, and clearing tables.
