Manage the corporate space portfolio to maximize efficiency and ensure the "Class A" environment the teams need for mission success.
Actively seek opportunities to learn the complexities of real estate planning, helping to bridge the gap between daily space needs and long-term property strategy.
Conduct routine audits and maintain the accuracy of space-related data, floorplans, and headcount reports to provide a "single source of truth" for the corporation
Develop reports for internal management, external customers, and Governmental audits.
Maintain corporate parking data; ensure compliance with local regulatory codes, ensure parking supply meets demands for various parking types.
Oversee the request process, conducting site walks and "test fits" to visualize how teams can best utilize their footprints in response to various audits, planning scenarios, and other requests.
Conduct programing exercises with users to determine current and future space needs.
Develop business cases and present creative solutions in monthly meetings with senior leadership to determine strategic direction and disposition of requests for space.
Plan and coordinate personnel moves and create move scenarios with a focus on minimizing disruption and maximizing employee experience.
Resolve delays, quality issues, and other concerns associated with the space acquisition process.
Act as an agent of change, helping departments navigate new ways of working and flexible space configurations.
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements for the Facilities Planning Specialist II:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Three or more years of relevant corporate space planning experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint
Ability to use Archibus and willingness to train others
Prior experience with space planning software, CAD, and PDF editing tools.
In addition to the above, the minimum requirements for the Facilities Planning Specialist III include :
Six or more years of relevant corporate space planning experience.

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Strategic Space Planner to support a dynamic two-million square foot nationwide portfolio comprised of both classified and unclassified space. These properties are located across three main campuses including El Segundo (California), Chantilly (Virginia), and Colorado Springs (Colorado), as well as multiple leased facilities across the country. This role is designed for a forward-thinking professional who excels in data-driven space management and is eager to evolve. While the core of this position is optimizing the physical workspace, the ideal candidate possesses a growth mindset-someone ready to master space planning today with the curiosity to delve into real estate planning and portfolio strategy while growing with the company. This position maintains the accuracy of building, personnel, hoteling, and parking data while managing space requests, and large-scale moves. Key responsibilities include generating footprint reports for management and government agencies, developing move scenarios and test fits, and facilitating monthly senior leadership reviews to present strategic business cases and solutions.
