Vanderlande has recently built a large advanced automated warehouse for one of the largest retailers in the world in Canada.
You will play a pivotal role in our support of this state-of-the-art warehouse. You will work closely with various teams to ensure efficient on-time preventive maintenance and swift troubleshooting when incidents arise.

Essential Functions (Job Duties and Responsibilities):
Technician II will be relied upon for troubleshooting support for routine problems in the material handling system.
Responsible for the maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical components such as: motors, motor-gearbox assemblies, rollers, bearings, shafts, sprockets
Responsible for the maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical control components such as; photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, solenoids, encoders, variable frequency drives
Communicate with various parties on the work performed and present status of specialty systems
Interpret engineering drawings in reference to layout, location, and operation of the system
Execution of preventive maintenance (both electrical and mechanical)
Reporting of executed maintenance activities
Analysis of system errors
Replacements of machine spare parts
Reporting of problems and maintenance activities that need attention
Attending to call outs, faults, alarms, and warnings and monitor system from the Control Room
Compliance with all Vanderlande programs, policies, and procedures
Perform other duties / assignments that might be occasionally required by the management
Required Education and Experience:
Experience of supporting automated systems with a proficient level of electro- mechanical skills
Electrical fault-finding and fault-rectification skills, including the replacement and configuration of field devices (inverters, sensors, scanners etc.)
Mechanical fault-finding and fault-rectification skills (gearboxes / bearings / sprockets / drives etc.)
Experience with electrical schematics / wiring diagrams
Skilled in the use of standard electrical test instruments
Relevant vocational and / or technical qualifications
Other Requirements:
Valid Driver license
Electrical License: Industrial Electrician Trade Certification or Certified Construction/Maintenance Electrician or "Red Seal" Industrial Millwright License is required
