As a Territory Sales Executive, you'll be out in the field meeting SME and large business customers across your assigned territory. Your focus will be generating new leads, renewing contracts and growing gas and electricity sales while delivering excellent customer service.
You'll provide accurate, timely advice and proposals that help customers choose the right energy solutions for their business and align with AGL's retail strategy. You'll also handle customer queries and issues professionally to support satisfaction, retention and long‑term relationships.
Responsibilities
Drive New Business Growth - Identify, engage and win SME and large business customers through targeted outreach, cold calling, client visits and tender responses.
Generate High‑Quality Leads - Build new communication channels, research target segments and apply smart sales strategies to grow a balanced, profitable retail book.
Deliver Exceptional Customer Sales Support - Understand customer needs, provide accurate product advice, develop proposals, manage contracts (ESAs & GSAs) and support new connections while maintaining compliance and clean records.
Own Customer Relationships & Renewals - Manage your portfolio end‑to‑end, maintain proactive communication and secure timely renewals to minimise churn and strengthen long‑term partnerships.
Solve Problems & Improve Processes - Resolve customer issues quickly and professionally, monitor risks like unexpected charges or churn, and contribute insights that improve products, processes and customer experience.
About you:
Previous demonstrated experience working across sales and/or customer service.
Strong commercial acumen and numeracy skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills - ability to convey information about energy products
Valid WA Driver's licence to enable frequent visits with existing and prospective customers.
Energy market knowledge, including an understanding of key drivers in the gas and electricity wholesale markets - highly desirable.
