Maintain a clean, orderly work area while handling various types of equipment, instruments, and supplies used during surgical procedures.
Cleans, disinfects, and sterilizes instrumentation, equipment and supplies for the OR and other areas as needed.
Keeps accurate quality control records regarding Bowie-Dick Tests, Biologics and individual load records.
Ensures adequate inventory of necessary supplies for Sterile Processing department and orders as needed.
Transports sterile supplies and equipment to other areas of the hospital.
Maintains and cares for equipment and supplies. Documents maintenance and repairs.
Maintains department records, reports and files as required.
Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs.
Consistently provides accurate and complete hand-off communication to any healthcare provider according to hospital policy.
Attends 80% of all department meetings and required to review and initial all department minutes missed.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
