Responsible for the overall industrial security program and compliance with the NISPOM (32 CFR Part 117), and other government and contractual obligations (e.g. DD254, enterprise SPP, contracts, etc.) for the El Segundo facility; assists other office locations as needed.
Manages personnel responsible for security education, contractor DD254s and indoctrination for new employees and clearances and accesses. Works closely with other FSOs and supports enterprise functions and projects.
Coordinates self-inspection programs, including the DCSA required self-inspection, ensuring compliance with customer directives and regulations; documents findings, implements corrective actions, and notifications.
Reviews corporate policy and other guidance to ensure clear, consistent and practical procedures are implemented to protect classified and unclassified but sensitive information and operations.
Ensures subcontractor compliance with security requirements.
Implements DCSA mandatory training requirements for all personnel.
Maintains knowledge of government security directives and coordinates local and enterprise applicability as needed.
Manages contractual lifecycle security requirements from award through closeout.
Supports other corporate security disciplines and programs (e.g., incidents and investigations, insider threat, physical security, information assurance, personnel security, international security, etc.) as needed
Establishes and maintains strong professional working relationships with management, peers, internal/external customers, other Aerospace locations and government counterparts
Responsible for hiring, supervising, training, scheduling, and performance management of security team.
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements for Security Manager, FSO:
Bachelor's Degree.
5+ years of security management experience with security best practices, standards, and methodologies
Current Top Secret security clearance is required with ability to obtain and maintain SCI.
Completion of the Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE) FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities ( IS030.CU ) curriculum.
Ability to obtain Certified Protection Professional (CPP); Industrial Security Professional (ISP); Physical Security Professional (PSP).
Direct experience with DISS, NISS, and other government systems. Experience with SIMS is preferable.
Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and external government customers
Represent the corporation with US government, DoD, and other agencies
Respond to security emergencies around the clock

The Security Manager, Facility Security Officer (FSO) provides strategic leadership and daily management for the company's security operations and its industrial security compliance program. This dual role ensures the facility, its personnel, and its assets are protected from physical threats, while guaranteeing strict corporate adherence to NISPOM (32 CFR Part 117), SEAD 3, and Continuous Vetting (CV) mandates. The FSO Security Manager acts as the definitive Key Management Personnel (KMP) and primary liaison to the Space Systems Command Information Protection Office (SSC/IPO), the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) and other federal law enforcement entities.
The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, onsite at our location in El Segundo, CA.
