Supervises, trains and monitors the performance of assigned banquet staff, ensuring that all procedures are completed to department and location standards.
Essential Functions:
Maintains complete knowledge of service requirements for assigned function and communicates expectations and to banquet staff. Supervisors banquet staff; ensures quality service is provided to guests. Greets guests upon arrival and assist in seating as required by group; ensures a pleasant visit for each guest; and maintains effective guest relations. Recognizes and resolves guest complaints and concerns. Supervises event set up and break down procedures; contributes to overall cleanliness and organization of facility and event location. Performs special projects delegated by management. Stays updated on latest developments pertinent to the department as well as the location.
Requirements
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and interpret retail product labeling. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of organization.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
