Additional Information
Just imagine your future with us...
At Aurecon we see the future through a very different lens. Do you?
Innovation, eminence and digital are at the heart of everything we do. Are you excited about the future?
Are you driven by the opportunity to work on some of the most challenging and complex projects around the world and to learn from the best? We are.
Diversity is at the core of everything we do. We work together to create a culture based on respect, trust and inclusiveness. Our differences are what fuel our creativity.
What will you do?
Digital professionals transform the way we engineer, design and advise to help clients become future ready. Working with Aurecon professionals across the network, including our engineering, design and advisory businesses, they design and implement integrated solutions across core digital competencies. Digital Modelling professionals apply their specialised 3D computer based modelling and design using digital technology to create complex 3D computer based parametric models. The role will primarily be working with the Power Generation, Transmission and Distribution teams and related projects within the Energy unit.
Here are the key things you will do to 'bring ideas to life'.
Apply competent 3D modelling in the maintenance of federated models, to computationally create and spatially coordinate design. Determines requirements for data analysis and contributes to review and interrogation of project outputs.
Able to contribute fully with limited supervision, to the key parts of the project solution based on their area of expertise.
Demonstrate capabilities with intelligent modelling systems using suppliant inputs and data sets.
Apply civil engineering knowledge and ability to resolve engineering problems.
Manage and coordinate the production of project models as well as 2D deliverables using AutoCAD and MicroStation Software
Assist in the development of digital strategies
Communicates clearly with excellent spoken and written English and gives constructive feedback to others.
Supports colleagues to build and develop diverse teams by leveraging the Aurecon Attributes and applying the Aurecon Principles and Ethos.
Committed to continuous learning, seeks opportunities to stretch and develop capability; seeks informal mentoring and coaching opportunities (as mentor and mentee).
Able to work both independently and as a team member and have strong time management skills.
What can you bring to the team?
Firstly, you will share our genuine passion for re-imagining engineering and be someone that actively pursues continuous learning to help shape the future. You will also need a relevant technical qualification and chartered status would be preferable.
At least 3 years of experience in digital modelling
Civil engineering background (bulk earthworks) experience is required
Demonstrate well developed domain knowledge of engineering design and construction
Have the expertise to maintain and develop federated models, for BIM applications
Demonstrates technical skills in computation and automation and their impact on design
Have working experience in Data management software such as ProjectWise, Synergy, BIM360 and SharePoint
Proficient in MicroStation, Civil3D, AutoCAD, Bluebeam software
Experience in ANZ, UK, European or US projects
InfraWorks, 12d experience preferred, but not essential.
Drainage and utilities knowledge is an advantage.
Our Aurecon Attributes describe the types of people we bring together for clients. We don't expect you to have all eight of the attributes, but one that is unique to you.
Finally, we value that each of our team members brings something different to Aurecon. We look for people who have had a broad range of experiences throughout their career and can demonstrate how they have worked as part of a team to bring ideas to life. Does that sound like you?
