ISP Technologies Inc. PLANNING ANALYST I Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Production Planner to join our Ashland, Inc. business at our Texas City, Texas manufacturing plant. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the manufacturing function. This position will report to the Texas City Plant Manager. The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: Use Enterprise Resource Planning software to strategically create and manage achievable production schedules for production units to optimize the use of plant equipment while meeting customer requirements Analyze, plan, and manage production scheduling activities to ensure on-time deliverables to customers Run SAP, MRP based inventory-planning system to project demand requirements for many raw materials to maintain targeted inventory levels Analyze and procure packaging to support several production units and many different packages combinations Work with Operations and Quality departments to investigate quality complaints and implement corrective actions Support implementation of programs and procedures to optimize production and continually improve processes Participate in Safety, Quality, and Environmental initiatives that will contribute to compliance of State/Federal regulations and improve existing Company programs Actively contribute to the organizational goals by taking initiative, executing on goals and focusing on performance and safety Improve the organization capacity and capabilities through building collaborative relationships, optimizing diverse talent and utilizing positive communications and influence with others Travel Requirement What This Role Is Not: A remote job. Onsite availability and interaction is required. Not a management position - while you will collaborate with other team members, this is an individual contributor role with no direct reports. Not an entry level position - we need a candidate to hit the ground running with solid experience and a background to prove it. In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a professional production planning / supply chain environment using MRP and ERP systems Strong Microsoft Office skills Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize, dependable and responsible to work independently Ability to identify critical issues and formulate action plans Capable and willing to work / receive calls outside of normal hours, weekends, and holidays, as may be required. Ability to respond appropriately during site emergencies as directed by the Site Emergency Manager. Ability to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment if required to work or visit within the manufacturing process area. Always demonstrate responsible and ethical behavior. Possess ability to help the company drive greater value through understanding the business, making complex decisions, and creating the new and different. Valid driver's license. Must be authorized to work in the US. The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit: Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related scientific field. Six Sigma Green Belt or APICS Certified Production and Inventory Manager (CPIM) certifications. Prior SAP planning, supply chain, and procurement experience.
