About the role
Washington State University Tri Cities is now accepting applications for an Academic Engagement Coordinator. As the AE Coordinator, you will promote innovative ideas and solutions to advance student's academic success and professional development. You will drive and reinforce students' academic and career-connected learning through the evaluation and enhancement of resources, processes, and events affiliated with the Office of Academic Engagement , including the Library, Writing Center, Tutoring Center, and Undergraduate Research. Additionally, you will serve as the primary contact for internal and external constituents and manage the office administration for the College of Arts & Sciences . Duties include, but are not limited to, assisting with faculty recruitment and onboarding, travel processing, purchasing and budget management, and event coordination. The individual will also assist with course scheduling and support the Academic Director in the interpretation and enforcement of faculty policies. Additional Information: This is a full time (100 % FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible. This is an on-site/in-person role located on WSU Tri Cities campus, in Richland, WA. Monthly Salary: $3,925.00 to $5,271.00 | Range 44 | Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in line with WAC 357-28 . In accordance with RCW 49.58.110 , the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position. Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent AND three years of clerical, office or administrative experience. OR an Associate's degree in business administration, public administration, or a closely related field may substitute for experience AND one year of experience as an Administrative Assistant 2 or two years as an Administrative Assistant 1. OR Equivalent education/experience. Additional Requirements: Strong organizational skills and a willingness to take initiative. The ability to coordinate multiple programs and deadlines and solve problems for a wide range of complex tasks. Strong customer service skills. Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including productive and collaborative working relationships with a broad range of internal and external constituents or customers.
