Maintenance Assistant (Permanent) Key Responsibilities: Conduct general property maintenance, inc. carpentry, tiling, repairs to doors, windows & locking systems. Install and repair gutter and drainpipe systems. Perform basic plumbing repairs. Source and obtain materials from local suppliers. Oversee the work of contractors when required. Provide support to colleagues, including covering for absences and offering on-call assistance. Adhere strictly to all company policies and health and safety regulations. Any tasks or responsibilities as requested by management within the scope of the position. Knowledge and Skills: Proficiency in using basic hand tools. Expertise in one or more building trades such as carpentry, plastering, or tiling. Possession of a full, clean UK driving licence. Substantial proven experience in a similar role, with Basic understanding of current Building Regulations. Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately. High practical ability and strong numeracy skills for measuring and making calculations.
