Mahoney State Park, Fort Robinson State Park, Louisville SRA, Niobrara State Park, Platte River State Park, and Ponca State Park: - Supervise pool safety, ensuring a secure environment for park visitors. - Enforce safety regulations and lead emergency responses promptly under general supervision. Requirements / Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications : At least three months experience working in a recreational area, scenic attraction, hospitality, historical, retail or customer service setting, agricultural setting, or related coursework/training. Preferred Qualifications : The ability to obtain Lifeguard Certificate or Water Safety Instructors Certificate. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: Knowledge of: No prior lifeguard certification is required, but candidates must demonstrate a willingness and ability to successfully complete lifeguard certification courses. Familiarity with the role and responsibilities of a lifeguard in maintaining a safe aquatic environment is preferred, but not mandatory. Additionally, a general awareness of workplace safety practices and procedures is beneficial. Ability to: meet and deal effectively with the public; understand and follow instructions; make routine decisions; communicate effectively; apply proper phone etiquette; safely operate various types of powered equipment and machinery; add and subtract numbers and perform other basic arithmetic calculations; plan, assign and coordinate the work of others.
