HRA Program Management: Oversee and manage the daily harvest line-up using the HRA application. Maintain accurate and consistent use of the HRA system throughout the receiving process. Ensure smooth coordination between receiving and harvest operations.
Livestock Data Accuracy & Coordination: Work with department staff to ensure accurate counts, identification (tattoo), and weights of incoming hogs. Monitor the receiving process to align with department expectations and harvest needs.
Regulatory Compliance & USDA Coordination: Oversee the Ante Mortem Inspection process with USDA to ensure readiness for harvest. Identify and correct deficiencies prior to USDA involvement to maintain compliance and operational flow.
Issue Resolution & Process Improvement: Identify and resolve any issues related to lots received in a timely and efficient manner. Monitor trends and provide proactive solutions to improve processes and prevent recurring issues.
Training & Team Leadership: Train, coach, and develop employees in the general use of the HRA application. Train backup staff for key HRA functions to ensure continuity of operations.
Departmental Support & Communication: Support the Hog Barn Supervisor and take a lead role with the Receiver team. Delegate tasks and provide conflict resolution as needed. Ensure staffing levels meet daily operational needs across all shifts.
WHAT WE'RE SEEKING:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED), required.
2 years computer or data entry experience, required.
A desire and willingness to work around and with livestock
Excellent communication and people skills both written and verbal
Strong Math skills.
Maintain active TQA and PQA certification

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The plant environment will include wet or humid conditions (non-weather related), extreme cold and heat (non-weather related), working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals.
Noise level in the work environment can be loud when in the production area.
Frequently required to move and/or lift 100 pounds and occasionally required to move and/or lift more than 50 pounds.
