Processes correct diets and portions for all age groups from pediatrics through elderly adults. Assess and interpret age appropriate data about the patient's status in order to identify age-specific needs and provide the care needed
Assesses floor stock needs in patient unit kitchens.
Take phone calls and fax orders for all food requests. Receive requests for diet changes via computer, fax; or written format during downtime. Make necessary diet changes, keep Room Service order system updated. Follow standard procedures for diet patterns.
Coordinate processing and printing of am and pm nourishment orders and the delivery of all tube feeding and oral supplement orders.
Reports suspected violations of all relevant laws, regulations Compliance Policies and Procedures, and the CODE OF CONDUCT.
Assists in the assembly and accuracy of patient meal trays and the delivery, pick up, and breakdown and cleaning/sanitation of patient service operations.
Under the general supervision of the Nutritional Services Manager and Supervisor assists with the coordination on the morning and evening activities of patient meal service including preparation, delivery, and cleanup in the department.
Perform all work in a safe and sanitary manner. Maintain all workstations in a neat and organized manner.
Respond and cooperate with changes in workload.
Actively supports and participates in performance improvement activities, including but not limited to tray assessments, meal rounds, department committees.
