The Investment Engineering Lead for Private Equity, Infrastructure, and Hybrid will serve as the senior technology partner to investment leadership across these platforms. This individual will define and execute the engineering roadmap supporting deal origination, underwriting, portfolio management, asset monitoring, and value creation initiatives. This role requires a hands-on technical leader who can architect scalable systems, lead and develop a team of 6+ engineers, and embed modern data and artificial intelligence capabilities directly into the investment lifecycle, including driving the AI strategy for this platform inclusive of third-party vendor solutions and internal proprietary builds. Primary Responsibilities Define and execute the end-to-end technology strategy supporting Private Equity, Infrastructure, and Hybrid investment workflows, from pipeline management and underwriting to portfolio monitoring and realization. Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of software engineers, fostering a culture of engineering excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement. Architect and build robust, scalable platforms for deal evaluation, financial modeling, operational KPI tracking, valuation analytics, and investment committee materials. Design and maintain data pipelines integrating internal systems, portfolio company data, third-party market data, and alternative data sources to enable real-time investment insights. Develop and oversee Python-based analytics platforms and reusable libraries to standardize underwriting models, scenario analyses, and portfolio diagnostics across strategies. Partner directly with investment professionals to translate complex business requirements into technical specifications and production-grade solutions. Embed artificial intelligence and advanced engineering tools (including large language model-enabled workflows and coding copilots such as Cursor, Claude, and similar platforms) into research, diligence, and reporting processes to enhance productivity and insight generation. Ensure high standards of system reliability, data integrity, governance, security, and auditability across platforms. Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Risk, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and Investor Relations to ensure seamless integration of investment systems with firmwide infrastructure. Collaborate closely with adjacent investment engineering functions, such as Credit, to share standards, tooling, and best practices. Present technology strategy, roadmap progress, and key initiatives to senior leadership and investment committees. Qualifications & Experience Required 12+ years of experience in investment technology, buy-side engineering, or private equity-focused technology roles, with increasing leadership responsibility. Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing engineering teams within a complex, global organization. Strong hands-on programming expertise in Python, including experience building production-grade analytics, data pipelines, and financial modeling tools. Experience designing and deploying scalable cloud-based architectures and microservices, with familiarity in modern DevOps practices and CI/CD workflows. Deep understanding of private markets investing, including deal lifecycle, underwriting, portfolio monitoring, valuation methodologies, and fund structures. Proven ability to operate as a strategic partner to senior investment professionals while remaining technically credible and detail oriented. Preferred Direct experience supporting Private Equity, Infrastructure, or Hybrid investment strategies at a leading alternative asset man
