Follow us on Glassdoor and LinkedIn ! The Senior Network Engineer will have a wide range of skills in the design and troubleshooting of high-level network infrastructures and associated systems. Triage and resolution of complex issues related to the network, along with skills to contribute to the development of team objectives and principles and to achieve goals in creative and effective ways. Essential Duties & Responsibilities ● Provide network support for the various Alkami cloud, corporate, and customer environments ● Work directly with customers to support Alkami's networking products and solutions ● Completes assigned work through ticketing system for various systems ● Takes ownership of network troubleshooting from beginning to resolution ● Utilize various troubleshooting tools, such as log file analysis and packet captures, to determine root cause of an issue or outage ● Ensure continued smooth operation of Alkami's growing network infrastructure ● Monitor infrastructure performance ● Plans and performs systems upgrades, patching, and compliance remediation tasks ● Installation and continual maintenance of various network systems such as firewalls, routers, switches, and load balancers ● Maintain and administer monitoring systems and troubleshooting tools ● Documents Networking processes and procedures ● Creates and maintains logical and physical network diagrams, and knowledge base articles ● Review, verify, and perform various IT system maintenance such as backups, upgrades, and patching ● Mentors junior Network Engineers ● Provides on-call support during both business and non-business hours as established and in accordance with company's Policies and Procedures Recommended Experience & Education Minimum Years of Experience Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or 3 years and an advanced degree Education Level Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Systems, Systems Engineering or equivalent experience Knowledge, Skills, & Qualifications Required ● 5+ years hands-on network design, administration, configuration and troubleshooting ● Cisco CCNP or equivalent certification ● AWS Certified Cloud Practitioners certificate or higher ● 1-2 years network automation and programming experience ● Mastery of networking technologies (including load balancers, firewalls, and VPN) ● Excellent customer support ● Excellent problem-solving, collaboration and troubleshooting skills. ● Effective communication skills both written and verbal. Preferred ● Can demonstrate experience in architecting complex network infrastructures ● Advanced Amazon Web Services certificates ● 5+ years supporting AWS or Microsoft technologies ● 3-5 years Linux experience ● Collaboration across multiple IT teams Physical Demands ● Ability to lift a minimum of 10 pounds to a maximum of 35 pounds unassisted ● Ability to stand, sit, stoop, walk, stretch, reach, and use full range of body motions ● Manual dexterity as required for specific equipment The salary range for this position is: TBD Cool Things to Know Not Just Any Company : Alkami has an awesome diverse and inclusive environment.
