The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism and excellent communication skills to foster and contribute to a collegial environment, with the primary focus of providing outstanding care to our patients and their families Essential Functions: - Facilitates an exceptional patient care experience by ensuring and assisting patient flow within the office, attending to needs of patients, their families and medical staff - Prepares patient for physician visit: obtains and documents appropriate vital signs and health history information in Electronic Health Record (Allscripts) - Clinical duties may include: Checks vital signs, Give injections (including immunizations), Medication administration, breathing treatments, dressings, vision/hearing testing, suture removal, patient education and assisting physician with procedures, Distributes/educates regarding home spacers and nebulizers - Documents, records, and reports necessary patient information - Laboratory testing may include: Specimen collection (including finger sticks/venipuncture), documentation, recordkeeping, and reporting and telephone and walk-in triage Other Functions: - Assist patients with any paperwork necessary for the visit - Assists with follow up calls to families regarding visits/procedures - Checks and maintains Crash Cart chart - Provides excellent, clear documentation in every area of the office. All documentation is done in the Electronic Health Record, either by entry or by scanning documents - Works closely with physicians to ensure patient and family needs are met in an expeditious manner - Performing laboratory tests - Maintains compliance with all company policies, procedures and standards of conduct - Complies with HIPAA privacy and security requirements to maintain confidentiality at all times - Performs other duties as assigned Additional Job Description: Job Requirements Education: - Graduate of an accredited RN program (required)
