Avantor is looking for a motivated Sample Management Technician (m/f/d) in Langkampfen, Austria. The position is a permanent full‑time role, located at our pharma customer's site in Langkampfen .
In this role, you will handle the customer's chemical samples and ensure their proper management and storage. In addition to a base salary, we offer regular working hours, an annual bonus, training opportunities, and a company pension plan. Interested? Let's talk.
Working hours: Monday-Friday, 38.5 hours/week
Requirements
Education: Completed vocational training as a chemistry or biology laboratory technician or Completed Degree in Chemistry of Biology ( Bachelor's).
Experience : 1-3 years of laboratory experience in a comparable field. First hands-on experience with managing chemical samples
Fluent English skills is a must; German is a plus
Knowledge of GxP and safety rules in a chemical laboratory
Good IT skills; experience with Excel and SAP is an advantage
Customer-friendly attitude with a willingness to help both the customer and your team
Ability to take initiative and collaborate with our customer to continuously expand and improve our services
Detail-oriented and structured working style

Monitoring and performing daily service tasks such as:
Receiving, independently managing, and distributing analytical samples / sample management
Checking sample intake (GMP, non‑GMP, stability samples) and informing the sample owner
Storing and managing samples according to specifications
Aliquoting samples
Issuing and receiving samples from the customer
Disposing of samples according to regulations
Shipping samples, including preparing the required documentation
Assisting in the creation of work instructions / SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
Maintaining open communication with customers and actively contributing ideas to improve laboratory support processes
Ensuring general order and cleanliness, strict adherence to safety regulations
