About the role
The Utility Cleaner, under the direct supervision of the Housekeeping Manager and Leads, is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and sanitation of the convention center's public areas, meeting rooms, exhibit halls, service corridors, restrooms, and other facility spaces, helping to create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for guests, clients, exhibitors, and staff. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Clean windows (interior and exterior) and perform exterior facility cleaning as assigned. Perform janitorial cleaning of offices, meeting rooms, exhibit halls, service hallways, restrooms, storage areas, and other public and non-public spaces. Collect, transport, and dispose of waste and recyclables, including bulk trash removal. Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, carpet care, stain removal, window cleaning, floor stripping, waxing, and trash removal. Assist with event setup, breakdown, room resets, and post-event cleaning. Clean, sanitize, and restock restrooms and other facility areas as needed. Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in a safe and efficient manner. Identify and report safety hazards, facility damage, and maintenance concerns to management. Work independently and as part of a team to complete assigned tasks within established timeframes. Maintain safe, secure, and sanitary working conditions in accordance with company policies and safety standards. Follow all Legends Global policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. Other duties as assigned.
