6+ years of US & CAN payroll tax management experience preferably in a 3rd party payroll or shared service environment
Ability to demonstrate strong customer relationship skills
Experience with top tier payroll, HRIS and accounting systems (UltiPro, Workday, SAP or similar)
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve requests using pre-defined and creative solutions
Expertly interpret, create and present a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram or schedule form
Produce measurable results in a collaborative team environment as well as independently to manage time and priorities while achieving defined personal and team goals
Payroll accounting experience including GL posting, accruals and reconciliation of payroll expenses
Demonstrate intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access
Key Results Areas
Identify and resolve payroll tax exposure areas including registration of accounts, tax audit coordination and tax amendment tracking
Develop and maintain payroll audit related databases
Support payroll team Service Request Ticket resolution SLA at or above current SSC requirements
Ensure key audit and quality control activities are completed according to established schedule and guidelines
Support team projects and continuous improvement initiative
Bachelor's degree preferred
Basic familiarity with SQL query writing pre

As a Payroll Tax & Audit Manager, one of your key objectives in supporting our high-volume processing is to improve accuracy and increase efficiency. In this role, we challenge you to bring your best on a daily basis and welcome your ideas for how to do things differently and better. You will use your well-rounded problem-solving skills to creatively coordinate payroll tax and audit support activities and collaborate with Samsung teams to foster an environment in which continuous improvement is the standard.
In pursuit of success, the NA SSC Payroll Team works cross-functionally with internal partners including Human Resources, HRIS and Benefits to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll and related transactions.

Fulfill day-to-day payroll tax and audit management research in support of various payroll service team projects and continuous improvement initiatives
Develop and maintain various excel and Access "databases" to support audit administration and payroll processes.
Ensure data integrity and compliance with regulatory standards for payroll tax management
Effectively manage relationships within defined SLAs while providing on-going research, resolution, product support and a superior customer experience to workers, HR, accounting, retirement program and benefits administrators, as well as payroll and timekeeping vendors
Evaluate processes and procedural documents for increased efficiencies and opportunities for continuous improvement
Support Payroll Team in delivering high-quality results to payroll customers
Support reoccurring and ad hoc reporting including production of basic to intermediate reporting to various internal and external stakeholders
Support continuous, periodic and cumulative audit processes for monthly, quarterly and annual activities
Perform real-time data stream comparative audits and deliver fall out reports to payroll team, subsidiary stakeholders and/or third-party administrators for expedited resolution
Expertly interpret, create and present a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram or schedule form to technical and non-technical stakeholders
