As a Design Engineer 1 from R&D Drivetrain section, the engineer will be able to manage and promote Project development, Quality and Value Optimization activities, assuring all KPI's related to company's business plan. A Day in the Life: To design, specify, report, validate, and release documentation for drivetrain parts related to projects assigned to the engineer. To analyze and provide feasible countermeasures related to incidents in drivetrain parts during vehicle development, current production, and claims in the field to guarantee high quality. To propose, validate, and adopt ideas for cost reduction related to components/system for drivetrain. To provide onsite support for all events during vehicle development, ensuring QCT targets are met. To report to top management about progress/status and next steps during project milestones the engineer is responsible for. Who We're Looking for: Required: Bachelor Degree in: Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering 1 - 3 years of experience in automotive industry and/or R&D Areas CAD 3D/2D Data software knowledge Office (Excel & PowerPoint) Knowledge of Powertrain and drivetrain parts and the impact in the vehicle structure. Fluent English (B2 or above) Good Intrapersonal and interpersonal skills (interaction with teams with different backgrounds, nationalities, etc...), Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, Proactive. Availability to travel to Nissan plants, suppliers and dealers mainly in Mexico and USA.
