We are seeking a passionate and experienced Course Coordinator to lead our Bachelor of Community Services programs. This is a leadership role where you'll shape the future of community services education, oversee academic excellence, and ensure our students graduate ready to make a difference in society.
Responsibilities
Lead academic and operational delivery of Community Services programs, ensuring quality, compliance and strong student outcomes
Manage course operations including timetabling, assessments, enrolments, RPL and placements (where applicable)
Recruit, lead and performance manage academic staff, building capability aligned to current industry practice
Drive course development and continuous improvement, informed by sector trends and CWA expectations
Build and maintain industry partnerships to support placements, pathways and graduate outcomes
Oversee moderation, benchmarking and validation to ensure academic integrity and consistency
Monitor student performance, retention and satisfaction, implementing improvement strategies
Contribute to academic governance and reporting across key committees
Ensure compliance with TEQSA, AQF, CRICOS and ESOS frameworks
Support planning, audits, resource management and course promotion activities
About You
We're looking for a dedicated academic professional who's passionate about shaping the future of community services. You'll bring:
Postgraduate qualification (Master's or higher) in Community Services, Social Work, Human Services or a related discipline, aligned with Community Work Australia (CWA) requirements.
5+ years' experience at Course Coordinator /Associate Professor level (or similar) with demonstrated responsibility for course delivery, academic oversight and team leadership.
Strong higher education management background, ideally within the private sector, with a sound understanding of compliance and regulatory frameworks.
Strong knowledge of CWA, TEQSA, AQF, CRICOS and ESOS requirements
Proven industry engagement and ability to build partnerships
Experience in staff leadership and performance management
Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
Commitment to student outcomes, quality assurance and continuous improvement
