The University of Pennsylvania's New Bolton Center is seeking a team member to join our large animal veterinary hospital as a Clinical Care Technician (CCT). Clinical Care Technicians play a vital role in the patient care team. As a valued CCT, you will assist in providing exceptional care for equine patients as well as a variety of other farm animal species. We offer both inpatient and outpatient services in a busy, fast-paced environment where excellent patient care is our top priority.
Job Description
This position is located in Kennett Square, PA (Chester County), which is approximately 33 miles outside of Philadelphia. There is no public transportation to this location. You must have your own transportation.
Job Responsibilities
Horse handling and restraint for procedures, medical exams, and surgeries. Providing general patient care, including grooming, feeding, and watering patients, walking, applying standing wraps, and stocking barn areas. Teaching students.
Maintain patient treatment areas and equipment after procedures have been completed, in addition to other housekeeping or groundskeeping tasks as assigned. Documenting stall cleaning status as needed and following Biosecurity protocols.
Transporting bedding and feed material to and from patient areas and operating a variety of motorized equipment. Assisting with the movement of large patients and patient supplies, including the transport of downed or deceased animals.
Client communication, including admitting and discharging patients.
Collaborating frequently with other members of the clinical care team.
Assisting in stall cleaning and sterilization as needed. Set up of stalls for incoming patients.
Other duties as assigned.
