What you will take ownership of on a daily basis: The main responsibilities of the Maintenance Supervisor are: Lead and develop maintenance employees with a strong focus on engagement, accountability, and skills development. Ensure compliance with the collective agreement while fostering a collaborative, partnership-based approach with employees and site stakeholders. Coordinate, prioritize, and supervise maintenance activities through the CMMS, including managing work orders and issuing required work permits. Provide hands-on technical leadership (mechanical, electrical, or automation) to support troubleshooting and ensure efficient and timely problem resolution. Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and operational performance. Develop, implement, and sustain preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve plant efficiency and reduce downtime. Maintain an accurate inventory of spare parts and oversee cost control related to maintenance operations and budgets. Supervise and coordinate the work of external contractors, ensuring quality, timelines, and compliance with safety standards. Ensure compliance with health & safety, environmental, sanitation, and quality programs (ISO, HACCP, SQF). Lead regular performance and daily management meetings with the team to track KPIs and drive accountability. Contribute to the planning and execution of plant projects, including capital investments and equipment modifications, with proper justification and follow-up. Provide technical support to production lines, including troubleshooting, system optimization, and performance improvement recommendations. Support efforts to minimize plant downtime and maximize operational efficiency, aiming for near 100% equipment availability. Oversee PLC programming, troubleshooting, and implementation where required. The profile that can truly own the role: Technical diploma or degree in Maintenance, Engineering, Automation, or other related field deemed relevant. Minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (mechanical, electrical, or automation). Strong troubleshooting capabilities and experience with root cause analysis (RCA). Solid knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and exposure to predictive maintenance practices.
