The Paralegal provides critical support to the Chief Legal Officer (CLO) by managing complex deadlines, coordinating high-priority projects, and ensuring seamless execution of matters in which the CLO is heavily engaged. The role serves as a central point of organization and follow-through across key functional areas, including transactions, contracts, litigation management, human resources, and real estate. They will perform a wide variety of legal administrative and paraprofessional duties. The position includes providing comprehensive and efficient administrative support. Required Qualifications: High school diploma/GED At least five (5) years of healthcare experience, bonus if experience in law firm/legal department Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and strict deadlines Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in legal documentation and tracking Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently while supporting executive leadership Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills High level of discretion with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information Ability to collaborate effectively across departments, including executive leadership, HR, and operations Duties and Responsibilities : Assist in maintenance and monitoring of legal calendars Maintain internal project timelines Track and coordinate all active matters where CLO is heavily involved Serve as liaison between the CLO and other executives Assist with drafting, reviewing, and organizing legal documents, correspondence, and reports Manage contract tracking, including renewals, expirations, and required approvals Coordinate document production and responses when appropriate Prepare status reports for the CLO and executive leadership Maintain organized digital legal files and ensure compliance with document retention policies Support labor and employment matters, when required Monitor and follow-up on action items to ensure timely completion of CLO-led initiatives Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive legal, employee, and organizational information Each caregiver is responsible for implementing SJRMC's Service Standards into their daily work Safety, Courtesy, Effectiveness, and Stewardship Physical Demands and Environmental Work Conditions : Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Occasional irregular work hours (to meet the needs of SJRMC) Must be able to lift twenty-five (25) pounds Occasional: lifting, carrying, reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, and stooping Must be able to: talk (ordinary and conversations), hear (ordinary and conversations), and see (acuity: near and far, depth perception, and color vision)
